On Fashion’s Night Out, J. Mendel hosted a book-signing party for Mary Helen Bowers, the ballet trainer behind Natalie Portman’s amazing transformation in Black Swan, and founder of Ballet Beautiful. Dancers clad in Gilles Mendel-designed costumes lit up the windows of J. Mendel’s Madison Avenue boutique as Mary Helen signed books for an audience of invited guests.
