SHIPPING

When will my order ship?

All orders placed before 3pm (standard eastern time) will be processed and shipped on that day. Orders placed after 3pm will be processed and shipped the following business day.

Will my order be taxed?

J. Mendel charges state, local and county taxes for online transactions based on shipping address and as required by applicable laws. Please note that your on-screen transaction total reflects estimated tax. The actual sales tax will be calculated when your order is shipped and may vary from the estimated tax. Applicable state taxes will be applied to orders shipped to New York and Maryland.

What does it cost to ship my order?

We offer complimentary ground shipping via Federal Express on all orders.
Standard Ground Shipping – Complimentary (please allow 5 to 7 business days)
Express/ Second Day Delivery - $20 Overnight Delivery - $35

Our customers in Manhattan who order before noon can opt for same-day for a fee of $35. We ship via FedEx Home Delivery when you choose the Standard delivery option. FedEx Home Delivery delivers packages to residential addresses Tuesday through Saturday from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. Orders sent by Express/ Second day shipping methods are delivered Monday through Friday from 8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

Will my shipment be insured?

Yes. JMendel.com insures each purchase during the time it is in transit. We require a signature for delivery, at which point responsibility for your purchases passes to you.

Will someone need to be present to sign for my order on delivery?

Yes.

How do I track the status of my JMendel.com order?

Once we have shipped your order, we will send you an email with shipping details and a FedEx tracking number. Follow the link in the email to check the estimated arrival of your order.

Can I ship my order outside the United States?

RETURNS

Can I cancel or modify my order after it is processed?

If you wish to cancel your order, please email us at service@jmendel.com as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your request but we cannot cancel orders that have already shipped.

How do I return my purchase?

Returns or exchanges received after 14 days of delivery will not be accepted. Any returned or exchanged item(s) must be received in new, unused and unaltered condition with the original tags attached accompanied by the original invoice and original packaging. All SALE merchandise is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.To make a return simply go to My Account or enter your order number to request a Returns Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and download a printable prepaid FedEx shipping label. Or call 800) JMENDEL (563-6335) and we’ll mail you a shipping label. Shipping on returns is complimentary. All returns will be credited to the original form of payment

Can I return my international order?

All orders shipped internationally are FINAL SALE. No returns or Exchanges will be accepted.

How do I exchange a purchase?

For exchanges, simply return your item and repurchase it. Please call 800) JMENDEL (563-6335) for help with your exchange or return.

Can I return or exchange an online purchase at a J. Mendel store?

Returns and exchanges must be made to jmendel.com and cannot be accepted at J Mendel stores.

Can I return something I received as a gift?

Yes, you can return an item received as a gift. We will gladly exchange the item(s) for an item(s) of equal or greater value only.

How long will it take to process my return or exchange?

We’ll complete the transaction within 5 to 7 days of receipt of the returned merchandise.

  • Do you provide Gift boxes or Gift Wrapping?

    We provide complementary signature J. Mendel gift boxes and ribbon on orders placed online or with our Personal Shopper, indicated as “gift” at time of purchase. All gowns and dresses come with a J. Mendel garment bag and all hand bags come with a J. Mendel duster bag.

  • Do I have to set up a J. Mendel account to place an order?

    No, you can still order with us by using our Guest Checkout option. However, setting up an account will allow you to track your packages and manage your orders and your order history.

  • Why should I set up a J. Mendel account?

    Setting up an account lets you store credit card information for easier shopping, maintain an address book, review order history and keep a wish list.
