Pre-Order's are only available in the United States. If you pre-order a style, at the time you place your order, you will be required to pay fifty percent (50%) of the amount due as a deposit, exclusive of shipping fees and taxes. We will charge the remaining fifty percent (50%) of the amount due, plus shipping fees at such time as the style is ready for shipping.
Please be aware that because of the "pre-sale" nature of such transactions, you should expect a delay of approximately three (3) months between the date you place your order and the date that the product is ready for shipment. If you order styles available for immediate shipping, you will be required to pay the full amount due, plus shipping fees and any taxes associated with the product at the time you place your order.
When will my order ship?
All orders placed before 3pm (standard eastern time) will be processed and shipped on that day. Orders placed after 3pm will be processed and shipped the following business day.
Will my order be taxed?
J. Mendel charges state, local and county taxes for online transactions based on shipping address and as required by applicable laws. Please note that your on-screen transaction total reflects estimated tax. The actual sales tax will be calculated when your order is shipped and may vary from the estimated tax. Applicable state taxes will be applied to orders shipped to New York and Maryland.
What does it cost to ship my order?
We offer complimentary ground shipping via Federal Express on all orders.

Express/ Second Day Delivery - $20 Overnight Delivery - $35
Our customers in Manhattan who order before noon can opt for same-day for a fee of $35. We ship via FedEx Home Delivery when you choose the Standard delivery option. FedEx Home Delivery delivers packages to residential addresses Tuesday through Saturday from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. Orders sent by Express/ Second day shipping methods are delivered Monday through Friday from 8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Will my shipment be insured?
JMendel.com insures each purchase during the time it is in transit. WE REQUIRE SIGNATURE FOR DELIVERY, at which point responsibility for your purchases passes to you.
How do I track the status of my JMendel.com order?
Once we have shipped your order, we will send you an email with shipping details and a FedEx tracking number. Follow the link in the email to check the estimated arrival of your order.
J. Mendel has partnered with a trusted third-party company, International Checkout, to fulfill orders for our International customers. Simply put the items you wish to purchase in our Shopping Cart and choose the "International Checkout" option. Your items will be transferred to International Checkout for processing. You may pay by International credit card, PayPal or bank transfer. International Checkout will process your order, including billing, shipping and customer service. Once your order is completed, all inquiries should be directed to International Checkout at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Which countries do you ship to?
International shipping is currently available WORLDWIDE from J. Mendel. Our third party vendor, International Checkout, will ship to all destinations around the world including APO / FPO addresses.

Can I cancel or modify my order after it is processed?
If you wish to cancel your order, please email us at email@example.com or call (800) JMENDEL (563-6335) as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your request but we cannot cancel orders that have already shipped.
How do I return my purchase?
To make a return simply go to My Account or enter your order number to request a Returns Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and download a printable prepaid FedEx shipping label. You can also contact a J. Mendel Customer Service Associate via email service @jmendel.com and/or telephone at (800) JMENDEL (563-6335).
You may return any full priced product ordered on jmendel.com for refund or exchange within fourteen (14) calendar days from the delivery date. Returns or exchanges received after 14 days of delivery will not be accepted. ALL SALE merchandise is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Returned products must be in their original condition, unused, unwashed, unaltered, and in the same condition in which it was received with all tags attached, and in the original packaging (including, if possible, the original delivery box). The original invoice must be provided with any return.
Can I return my international order?
All orders shipped internationally are FINAL SALE. No returns or Exchanges will be accepted.

Yes, you can return an item received as a gift. We will gladly exchange the item(s) for an item(s) of equal or greater value only.
How long will it take to process my return or exchange?
Returns and exchanges are processed within 5 to 7 days of receipt of the returned original merchandise.
